If you’re anything like me and most people I know, no-one really taught you how to enjoy being in your body for a start, let alone how to touch – yourself or anyone else! Whether you’ve just opened the door to this exploration, or you’re lucky enough to have had positive influences, or have worked hard at it already, there are so many facets to pleasure and pleasuring that we can discover together.

My journey to learn these things (and more!) has been challenging and rewarding. For a long while I lived in a state of dissociation and reserve. I decided I wanted and deserved more pleasure. I explored intently. I went from sexually shy to sexually empowered in six months, so revealing was my revolution. I am now absolutely passionate about better sex for everyone.

What does a guide session look like?
It is always focused on your education; I have a suite of exercises and tools to get you more embodied, more aware of what you want and how to communicate, how to explore some of the issues you might be experiencing. Typically we will discuss what you’re interested in ahead of the session. When you arrive, we will check in to ensure we are clear about what we’re going to be doing and that it matches how you are feeling in the moment. I will guide you into some embodiment exercises, such as breathing together and body scans. We will do the agreed explorations. We will debrief and set homework for ongoing learning (change takes place with repeated practice over time!). These sessions are always tailored to your needs.     
Is it a hands on experience?
Again, it depends on what you’re learning interests are. Sometimes one-way touch (i.e. me touching you and me staying fully clothed) may be the best format for the focus to be on you and your learning. Other times two-way touch (both of us actively giving and receiving) might best serve your learning.
How long are sessions? How long will it take?
If you are experiencing something quite complex, I would recommend several sessions – every week or two for as long as it takes. If you have a specific technique to learn or curiosity to satisfy, it could be one session of ideally two hours. However, it all depends on how deep you’d like to explore and how much time you have to invest.
Do I have to be naked? Are you naked?
No, all Guide sessions are led by you and what supports your learning. We will only ever do things you fully consent to and will work at your pace. One-way touch usually means I am fully clothed and you are in a state of dress/undress that is comfortable for you. Two-way touch could be any combination of clothed/naked.  
What training have you done?

I am a fully certified Sexological Bodyworker (follow this link for more information ). I have a certificate in Embodied Counselling. I have taken several short courses and workshops in psychology, trauma, tantra, BDSM and have a background in making live performance (with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama).

I’m really nervous, what can I do?
Breathe. Your experience is very normal and to be expected. The best thing you can do is take the risk and communicate clearly what you want. Then, keep breathing – the most helpful way to manage nerves is to breathe; long, slow, deep breaths. Breath regulates the nervous system. It also moderates arousal. Breathing slowly is the best thing you can ever learn to do for yourself. If you are experiencing something quite complex, I would recommend several sessions – every week or two for as long as it takes. If you have a specific technique to learn or curiosity to satisfy, it could be one session of ideally two hours. However, it all depends on how deep you’d like to explore and how much time you have to invest.
